R & R stands for Rescue and Resuscitation.  This is a competition discipline of Lifesaving with along tradition, dating back to times when recsues were performed by a swimmer with a belt attached by rope to a reel on the beach.

In R &R teams enact a rescue under the wtachful eyes of a team of judges. The event encompasses marching, coordination, rescue skills, and resuscitation techniques. It is very technical and requires a great deal of training and practice.

In 2009 and 2010 Junior teams from Port Elliot won many State Medals, and competed at the National Titles in 2010.

It is hoped that R&R will be revitalised at the Club in the near future.
