The Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club Executive has determined that the club will cease patrols at Horseshoe Bay until further notice so as not to endanger the health of its patrolling members and to discourage the gathering of people on the beach because of the public health risk from COVID-19.
The clubrooms are now not to be entered or used for any activity, except in the case of an emergency call out.
Surf Life Saving South Australia has since announced that all volunteer patrol services across South Australia are no longer operating for the remainder of the patrol season.
There will be no patrol services over the Easter long weekend. For emergency assistance, call 000.
