Welcome
Established in 1933, the Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club has maintained an invaluable history in safeguarding the lives of beach-goers at Port Elliot and along the southern beaches, while providing training and nurturing lifelong skills to generations of young South Australians.

During the summer months, we actively patrol the beach on weekends and public holidays, have a nippers program, have keen members participating in surf sports and surf boats, and same wave allowing those with a disability to join in with lifesaving activities.

Membership of our Club is open to anyone aged 5 years and over. For those aged 12 and younger, they form part of our 'nippers' program. From 13 and above, you can gain water safety awards that allow you to become a surf lifesaver and look after the beach with us. Our lifesaving members enjoy use of showers, changerooms, gym, competition equipment and members' lounge, and of course, access to Surf Lifesaving Australia and South Australia's leading suite of training courses and skills maintenance.

'The Beach Bar' is located in the upstairs of our Clubrooms, and is open to the public during advertised times. Head on up to be greeted by the best view on the South Coast, and enjoy a drink and light dining options overlooking Horseshoe Bay. Step out onto the balcony to enjoy the salty sea air for that extra immersive experience.

You don't necessarily have to be able to swim to help us out! There are many other ways you can become involved, so please get in touch and you may have skills and time that we are after!
